Exchange
Banneker exchanged his ideas, beliefs and inventions with many people. Most importantly he exchanged his ideas and works with Thomas Jefferson. Through this he was able to prove that the African Americans are equal to the "white" people. He exchanged many ideas including his works with Astronomy. Banneker constructed an almanac that was not published but this almanac however, served a purpose that Banneker could never foresee. It was the almanac he sent to Thomas Jefferson that persuaded him and proved to him that the African Americans were equal. Banneker's exchange of ideas was one of the most monumental events in his life. He was a man of genius and is an idol for many people to this day. He is a man of color that managed to surpass all expectations and all limits put onto him so that he could exchange his ideas with the world.
